The FCG-Habitat Spring Team worked with Habitat for Humanity’s local Charlottesville office to help them better manage their internal relationships with community partners. The FCG Team helped Habitat keep an efficient and cost-effective method of cataloging the hundreds of organizations that it partners with to improve the community for the better.
The FCG-Habitat Fall Team worked on a project with Southwood, a mobile home park that represents the largest stock of cheap housing in the Charlottesville area. Using asset-mapping to demonstrate and highlight the strengths of this community and the potential it holds, FCG provided five GIS software solutions that allow Habitat to create a compelling map. At the end of the semester, the FCG Team presented findings and a final report to the Charlottesville Board of Habitat for Humanity.
